The club's First Championship Show for British Shorthair and Manx cats, plus Household Pets was held under GCCF Rules on Saturday 6th March 2004 at Therfield School, Dilston Road, Leatherhead, Surrey.

Show Manager's Message
Welcome to the First Championship Show of the Southern British Shorthair Cat Club.
Well, we've made it to becoming a Championship show and I would like to thank everyone for helping us to get here and say a special thank you to all those here today and especially those members who have supported the show every year since its inception. Our numbers are very impressive this year with the Show Hall filled to capacity. So a message to all our members and entrants please get your entries in early for next years show to avoid disappointment.
As always, it has taken a great deal of hard work by our committee, friends and families to organise the show and my thanks to all for their help and encouragement and to Brian Gregory for assisting with the paperwork and show schedules.
Finally, my personal thanks to the judges, stewards and other workers who are going to have a busy day and of course, you the exhibitors for bringing your lovely cats. Good luck and as always do enjoy yourselves.
