The club's First Sanction Show for British Shorthair and Manx cats, plus Household Pets was held under GCCF Rules on Saturday 3rd March 2001 at Therfield School, Dilston Road, Leatherhead, Surrey.

Show Manager's Message
Welcome to the first Sanction Show of the Southern British Shorthair Cat Club.
Well, we've made it and are a few cats up on last year which is good news. Many thanks to all those exhibitors, visitors and friends who have supported our three Exemption shows and especially to everyone who has come along today to help get our first Sanction Show off to a good start. Also, as it is the first time we have been able to run Assessment Classes, I hope all those trying for Merits today are successful.
As always, it takes a great deal of hard work by our committee, friends and families to put the show together and my thanks to all for their help and encouragement and of course, to Jeff, my computer guru without whom there would be no paperwork!
Finally, my personal thanks to the judges, stewards and other workers who are going to have a busy day and of course, you the exhibitors for bringing your lovely cats. Good luck and whatever happens, do enjoy yourselves.
