Welcome!

Catbalu is a registered prefix with the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy. I have been breeding British Shorthair kittens since 1984, and specialise in the following colours: White, Black, Chocolate, Lilac, Red, Blue, Cream in self, tortie, bi- and tri-colour.

In 2000 I acquired my first Cinnamon series stud boy, and have been working towards the development of British Shorthairs in Cinnamon and Fawn self, tortie, bi- and tri-colour.

January 2003 saw the arrival of my first Selkirk Rex stud boy from the US (after a six month holiday in the South of France - polishing up on his technique, no doubt!). I will be aiming to breed these wonderful cats in my signature colours/patterns plus as many other patterns as I can think of!

I joined CatTica club in December 2004 and successfully showed my Selkirk Rex boy at the first TICA show in the UK and was granted my cattery name Ticatbalu in February 2005.

My first Scottish Fold baby arrived in July 2005.
